Heritage Center’s Capital Campaign designated as Pikes Peak Enterprise Zone Project – donations >$250 eligible for 25% Colorado State Tax Credit

The Manitou Springs Heritage Center’s Capital Campaign was recently designated as a project of the Pikes Peak Enterprise Zone, which seeks to promote economic development in our community.

Donors who make gifts of $250 or more to the museum’s capital campaign through the Enterprise Zone are eligible to receive a Colorado state income tax credit of 25% of their donation amount, in addition to regular federal and state tax benefits.

If you want to make a Capital Campaign donation of less than $250, please make your check out to the Manitou Springs Heritage Center and put Capital Campaign in the memo line. Then either mail or drop off at the Heritage Center and please mark it to the attention of Board Member Neale Minch.

If you make a donation of $250 or greater and want to receive Enterprise Zone benefits, please make the check out to Pikes Peak Enterprise Zone and put “MSHC Capital Campaign” in the memo line. Then place in an envelope and enclose a piece of paper with your name, address (if not on your check), and the last 4 digits of your SSN. This is needed to complete the tax form that will ultimately be mailed to you for your taxes. Then either mail or drop off at the Heritage Center and also mark to the attention of Neale Minch.

If there are any questions about the Capital Campaign, the Enterprise Zone project, or about donating to the Heritage Center overall, please call or email Neale at the museum.

We are working hard to gather the funding to purchase the museum building AND make it even more beneficial for our donors!
