October 6,13,20 & 27 Spooktacular October Classic Horror Movie Nights
The Manitou Springs Heritage Center presents Halloween movie classics every Friday during our Spooktacular October. During Spooktacular October, the Heritage Center will feature classic horror and spooky tales of the bizarre.

October 6 “Night of the Living Dead” In George Romero’s 1968 classic and creepy Zombie movie, strangers escape to a rural Pennsylvania farmhouse and battle constant attacks from dead locals. Heritage Center doors open at 6:30pm; movies start at 7:00 pm. Run time 1:35:17.
October 13 “The Phantom of the Opera” In this 1925 silent movie classic, Colorado Springs native Lon Chaney plays a mysterious masked phantom who threatens a famous opera singer and then retreats to the Parisian catacombs with his captives. Heritage Center doors open at 6:30pm; movies start at 7:00 pm. Run time 1:46:30.
October 20 “The Killer Shrews” On an isolated island, a small group of people are terrorized by giant voracious shrews in the midst of a hurricane (1959). Heritage Center doors open at 6:30pm; movies start at 7:00 pm. Run time 1:08:54.
October 27 “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die” A doctor experimenting with transplant techniques keeps his girlfriend’s head alive when she is decapitated in a car crash, then goes hunting for a new body. (1962) Heritage Center doors open at 6:30pm; movies start at 7:00 pm. Run time 1:22:20.
